Pale, I was on the G&M comment boards just after the video was posted. My response of course was the same as yours - yechh, sleazy spin to make him "human". But you should have seen the posts all over the board. The Cons were absolutely orgasmic about it, & the LIbs were pretty positive too - "If he can get up on a stage & do that...."! I made a comment pointing out it's more of the same & how can anyone believe it?! I was blasted by absolute venom! The whole thing - from performance to comments & reaction, was just bizarre!

Even on "progressive bloggers" a couple of em are awestruck.
So stoopid. So so stoopid. Give em some dancin with the stars or some Idol and they are all happy dappy. What a shallow lot of morons some Canadians are becoming.

He is lip synching! And I wonder if that's one of those mechanical pianos? They had one at the John Lennon & Yoko Ono exhibit when it was in Montreal. We don't really see him playing.
Given that his stepford wife is the Chairperson of the NAC, I wonder if further cuts to arts & culture would be cause for divorce in Stevieland?
