Hey. Clue bat Conservatives? YOUR policies caused this mess. RANT MODE ON.

Swearing bothers you? Go find a fluffy bunny now then.

Shallow corporatist gits? Try this link.

I am so fucking sick of the Harper Conservatives, and their US Republican franchise/head office constantly haranguing us about how only they can save us from this mess that their own policies caused.

And let's be straight here, this bullshit rhetoric includes some corporatist Liberals. Two tier and privatized healthcare? Way to go! If you want to be like the US even more that is.

What caused this global fucking recession?
Well, unless you are a right wingnut conspiracy theorist, the blame seems to fall squarely on the banks, corporations, and deregulation.

Predatory lending.

Selling us cheap shit with over the top aggressive marketing campaigns. Cheap shit that falls apart two weeks after the warranty.  Comsumer debt is going to go up.  Go fucking shopping? Bush's fucking answer to a looming recession.

As we work with Congress in the coming year to chart a new course in Iraq and strengthen our military to meet the challenges of the 21st century, we must also work together to achieve important goals for the American people here at home. This work begins with keeping our economy growing. … And I encourage you all to go shopping more.

Lowered wages and benefits for people who actually work, and amazing gains by CEO's and executives that outpace everything.

Trickle down economics, corporate tax breaks and deregulation? Never. Creates. jobs.

Nope. That is story they tell us so they can rook some gullible Conservative voters and increase profits for the real base they pander to, the rich. Tha Harper Conservatives have increased tax breaks that their more socially progressive corporatist cousins started years back, and the Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney has let the cat out of the bag on this last round......

Carney had the nerve to say what everyone on Bay Street knows: The largest Canadian corporations are doing a terrible job at increasing productivity and, therefore, at raising Canadian living standards and competing internationally. He noted that productivity had actually declined through this recession when during every other recession it has gone up.

He left no doubt who was responsible: "In general, while there is always more to do, governments have put in place conditions for a productivity revival. Business, thus far, has disappointed."

Reganomics AKA trickle down, is a fake and a sham. And a big fuck you to anyone who buys it with a straight fucking face. You lie. Or you really should use more caution around toasters. Keep them away from forks and filled bathtubs eh?

Too stupid to fucking do up your own shoes.

What caused the Great depression in the 1930's? There are many different theories. The one thing that just about everyone agrees on? The fucking banks and their gambling. Another common theory is low wages. Sound familiar?

What caused this recession? The fucking banks, deregulation, greed, low wages and a class war.

So, do fucking tell me how more of the same is going to fix this fucking mess?

These assholes who are in "charge" are always. fucking. wrong.
Well, I guess that depends on their real motives? I personally think that no one is that fucking stupid.

Except for those masochistic fucking fetishes of self loathing and self harm. Some fucking morons vote against their own best interests and will do so without one moment of thought. That thought thingy may interfere with fucking hockey night in Canada or the porn/shopping time on the PC.
That poisoned carrot of GST cuts that only seems to help the top earners and the corps, the latest downloading of the tax burden onto the citizens via the new HST.
ET-fucking-cetera.

Yes Virginia, there are welfare Queens, but they are actually under the guise of corporations.
Thanks CanadianNurse for the vid.
Yes, the fucking hippies were right.

Remember Michael MOore on the Rachel Maddow Show?

"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result"
--Albert Einstein

That above quote is generally used in 12 step meetings like NA, CA, AA...you get the idea.

The situation of which you've posted, I've posted, and no doubt, many others would also most certainly be applicable to Einstein's definition of insanity.

The link is to a posting with a video of Michael Moore on the Rachel Maddow Show. If you haven't seen it: I highly recommend it.

Yes, and then, do watch the other cartoons, particularly the Jesus one; kinda makes the evangelicals look ridiculous.

http://sistersagesmusings.ca/2010/03/20/some-pre-health-care-reform-vote...

Near the end of that video (paraphrased) Financial and corporate Regulations;; that's evul soshalism! Everything is evul soshalism! Yet, these idiots never tire of it.

Then Moore goes on to wonder: aren't helping your fellow man, healing the sick and helping the unemployed find work Judaio-Christian, Atheist, Muslim Buddhist values we grew up with??

Then Rachel Maddow (or Moore; sorry, youtube videos are banned where i work, so I can't watch the video now to be more specific; i apologize in advance for any mistakes I make) says all those values must be pushed aside so greed can lead us to.....where? (open to the imagination; they never quite finished the sentence, except to speak of home foreclosures).

I used to think there would be a revolt of the working class; the havenots; there isn't because the higher ups brainwashed them in order to control them; much like a cult.

I have been writing about this for years now.

The stoopid never fucking stops. LOL.

It's a fact: 100% of all the people who ate carrots in 1850, are dead.

pale . . . .

The video is fuckin' great!

So timely, in that I just this morning finished Ralph Nader's "Only the Super-Rich Can Save Us" fiction book. Highly recommended, although it's a 700+ page tome so it'll take a bit of time to get through. I'll "e" you a snippet later to give you an idea of the contents . . . .

YES!

Again, THANK YOU, Ms Pale, for putting my churning fury into words (& song?!) And thanks for the h/t. You know I totally agree with every word.
As I wrote early on FB:
"Oddly, to hear Daniel Berrigan say this makes me feel a little better somehow. Berrigan (87)"This is the worst time of my long life," he said with a sigh. "I have never had such meager expectations of the system."
Will share again.
And West End Bob: Thanks for the head up re the Nader book. Going to try to reserve it at library now.
