I know that this whole Helena/Rahim saga is probably a most welcome distraction for the PMO.
It is probably a great smokescreen for the ongoing Shenanigans of Harper and his merry band'o'miscreants.

I mean, we went from being thought of as a nation of friendly honourable rational thinkers in world opinion to being a collection of theocratic rubes with strains of Dueling banjos in the background. Climate change, foreign policy, science, womens rights...Torture. ETC. You name it, we have fallen a couple centuries in just four years. I happen to think that Harper Conservatives have no pride, no sense of shame.

But this Helena/Rahim story has such an unreal ring of "teh Reality Tee Vee" to it that we cannot help but watch. And, point and laugh. The up and coming Conservative stars have fallen from grace.

If yesterdays Star article is true, we can add the word "bustyhooker" to our new political lexicon.
Recall Maxime and Lisa Raitt and Rona? Also all rising conservative stars. All now kind of faltering or scandal ridden.

We are dealing with a bunch whose sense of entitlement and whose arrogance is unparalleled, even by the Liberals, or, Previous government as Steve so loves to say.

So there is this sentence in an article today about the former golden couple, from a hardcore Conservative supporter no less:

My bet is she'll lose her secretary of state job Friday, as late as possible in the afternoon, to reduce the media glare.
