I am so loving the Corp media's reaction to the fact that a total unknown, a NON career politician handily won in a Quebec riding.
They are after her like white on rice, and they really really want that story!
It is not a story when a Government is found in contempt, not a story when a minister tells bald faced lies, not a story when other ministers use taxpayer dollars under the guise of G8/G20 budgets to improve their own ridings....
But Ruth Ellen? That is where they will follow every lead....BY GOLLY!
And you just have to love the condescending way they talk about her, watch the vid clip here. The reporter just cannot hide his distaste.
After all, she is not one of the back room snitches or the well connected corporate hacks they all adore so damn much.
She is a regular single mum, who worked in a restaurant. The Vegas thing is a bit odd to me too, but I can actually understand pre-planned airline tickets and the cost of those.
And yanno, I think she never thought she would win either. Tickets are not cheap for those who actually have to work for a living, insurance does not cover "cancelled, running for office."
The NDP has been performing some image "adjustments" on Ms Brosseau. The blonde hair has been replaced by brown hair with streaks. The makeup is now more subdued. C'mon, the cons have done the same thing with female MP's.
Apparently brunette =serious and blonde= Not.
But, she strikes me as just a regular person. One who struggled with many of the same things that a lot of us do.
The Corporate media hates her, the power brokers will too.
All this means, is that Ms Brosseau is now someone I will be cheering on.
Shake it up. Give 'em hell Ruth Ellen. This may be interesting to watch.
The reporter in the clip I posted the link to? He snidely derides the voters in the riding for voting for someone they know so little about.
And I say, hey shithead.....HAVE you talked to the hardcore conservatives in this country lately? The return of the Know nothings. They would vote for an outhouse of it had the big "C" on it.

Our riding kicked out...
Anita Neville for Joyce Bateman. I have no idea who the hell she is other than a CONservative. Never saw one piece of campaign mail from her. Never heard one knock or call from her campaign team. Never heard any news coverage or debate. This woman is a total stranger to me.

I guess Chartered Accountant and School Trustee (and certainly not a struggling working class Ruth Ellen) makes her free from scrutiny even though she jumped freaking parties in less than a month before the election.

It appears from recent photos that Ruth Ellen Brosseau is still blonde. And she did not spend all of the election campaign in Vegas, only a few days because, as you pegged it, she wouldn't have been reimbursed had she canceled her trip.
