#OccupyWallStreet, and the real stories of the 99%. I cannot look at this site without feeling sad and angry. Especially because this is what Stephen Harper and his cronies want for us too. I rarely say, GO READ! Today, I will.

Really . . . .
sad stuff there, pale . . . .
It is.
I was actually crying. So many living with so little hope. And there is no way to crawl up and out. The lottery is not a viable retirement plan.
:(
It's a fact: 100% of all the people who ate carrots in 1850, are dead.
Thanks for the link, Pale
The media is ignoring that 99%, painting the occupy protests as just a bunch of bored students making a nuisance of themselves. It's sickening.
This is definitely separating the wheat from the chaff
You can quickly figure out who's a bonafide supporter of change and reform, and who's in it for the money just by listening to the comments concerning this event, for sure.
The pretenders are calling this occupation 'unorganized', 'without purpose', and 'bound to fail'.
I've long maintained just putting your feet down on the pavement and your fist in the air is politics. Just cause right at that moment you don't have the words to express your thoughts and emotions, it doesn't make them any less relevent than what a seasoned activist or politician might say.
These people know what they want. Access to the oppurtunity that others enjoy. The oppurtunity for education, health, and stability. Or, in other words, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
To dismiss these unspoken demands will eventually become dangerous for the elite, and their sycophants. The longer the people occupy Wall Street, the more legitimacy the protest earns. The more the police are sent in to crack heads, the greater the divide between the powerful and the powerless becomes.
Eventually, if the people hold their ground, something will rupture, and since the occupiers are already hurting, it won't affect them at all, but it'll send the cheats and thiefs into panic.
I definitely support this, and I wish the best for the protesters.
