Lowest common denominators, and how to reach rock bottom.

The plan:

Steal errrrr.....confiscate the $55 Billion that has accumulated in the EI surplus, leaving a small percentage. Just before a worldwide economic meltdown.

Then, bring in thousands of temporary workers from foreign countries. Pay them lower wages, and apply lower employment standards. Chain them to employers that may or not be abusive in many ways, tie the continued stay of the temporary foreign workers to how accepting and docile they are to those conditions.

21st century indentured slaves.

I do not blame these people for coming here to take whatever they can get. I blame the government and those who support them for creating these circumstances. Greedy businesses, Corporatist Governments and voters who cannot see past their own noses.

As immigration minister from 2007 to 2008, Finley allowed the temporary foreign workforce in Canada to swell from 255,000 in 2006 to 362,000 in 2008.

Cap EI to levels that belie the reality of increasing joblosses and claims.  Closures, offshoring, ETC. Some employers find ways to get around the rules so they can hire temporary foreign workers instead of actual Canadians. They say that no one will take the jobs they have to offer. Because they offer substandard non living wages and no benefits, and really bad conditions..... Canadians will not accept their shit and abuse as readily.

Then, declare that EI is going broke, because of course that surplus that belongs to all of us who work,  that would have kept the now $9 Billion dollar deficit down was confiscated a while back and used for gazebos, fake lakes ETC.

So now, change the rules for EI. Demand that Canadians compete on the same levels as the desperate temporary foreign workers, or lose everything. I mean, these people will still lose everything, just a tad more delayed.

And there you have it. Lower wages for all, more shitty working conditions. Instead of indenturing temporary foreign workers, you now have the population of Canada doing the same function.

The lowest common denominator. Yes children, we are there yet.

So very unCanadian, we used to try to be better than that.

Oh, and bonus how to screw the workers of Canada over, via Dr Dawg.

One of the measures is so sneaky, says NDP MP Pat Martin, nobody seemed to notice the line buried deep in the 452-page Bill C-38 that simply states, “The Fair Wages and Hours of Labour Act is repealed,” giving no explanation. With those 10 words, Ottawa intends to wipe out a 1985 law compelling contractors bidding on federal contracts to pay “fair wages” and overtime.

They just brought the third world to us!

Oh, Goodie . . . .

And it's only:

1237 days, 17 hours, 17 minutes and 39 seconds (Or 3 years, 4 months, 19 days, 17 hours, 17 minutes, 39 seconds)

'til the next federal election.

Let the countdown begin, pale . . . .

Unless they get frogmarched out

Although, I do think that being a conservative seems to make it AOK to lie, cheat, steal.....Their supporters are as morally bankrupt as they are.

Im a little teapot....
