Darkness falls.Submitted by pale on Tue, 01/17/2012 - 11:31.
This SOPA thing that has been mostly ignored by the corporate media (some of us would say on purpose, because it seems that many of the big US corporations that run the show are in support of this "legislation" and they would like it to fly under the radar of the sheeples) has been a big topic in internet circles. A doorknock dinner. pale's Mock Won Ton Soup.Submitted by pale on Sun, 01/15/2012 - 23:03.There used to be a show on Food Network, Door knock dinners. pale's mock Wonton soup. 1 pkg ground pork. (These are usually about 2 pounds where I shop) Optional: Grated ginger, 1/2 teaspoon. (Was a bit too spicy for the Gurleys. But really nice) mix, form into small meatballs 1 ½ tbsp, bake on cookie sheet at 350f until browned and cooked through. Browning adds flavour to the soup. 20 mins or so? Broth 4-6 cups chicken stock. Not exactly as advertised.Submitted by pale on Thu, 01/12/2012 - 12:59.From one day of stoopid, and on to the next hey? A few years back, the Supreme court made a ruling....Many same sex couples flocked to Canada, to say their vows and spent thousands of dollars to do so.
But as always, the Harpercons cannot let something they hate go. No matter that it should be settled law.
Butta bing. How do you think people are feeling today? Shafted? Bereft? Pissed off? De-legitimized? Think how you would feel. You have been married for years now. You invested many dollars in this commitment. You may have waited years and years for the opportunity to become a legal couple with solemn vows. You may have kids. Then suddenly, BOOM. Sorry, we forgot to mention this part.....It's not reallllllllllllly valid. It's like getting a mail order doctorate. Worth as much as this one I made here at ACR.
Contempt of country. Rant mode. ON.Submitted by pale on Wed, 01/11/2012 - 11:59.Yanno. I know we have been down this garden path before. The Harpercons do something really stupid. (Daily occurrence) Then when people react (the employers of the Government, to be technically accurate)....They start calling us names, names designed to DE-legitimize our rights and concerns. Left wing fringe.....Remember that little quip from the PM during a speech to the party faithful? Jeebus, that looks more like a religious revival than a political talk. And BTW, chickie poo's....If you have any plans on being heard instead of just being seen? You may anger the PM.... So STFU already about women's rights. We don't think those are relevant. The Photographs of Your Junk (will be publicized!)Submitted by pale on Tue, 01/10/2012 - 22:13.A commentary on social media, and the shallowness of our society. And don't take pics of your junk. The Ravenous Ravenous CaterpillarSubmitted by pale on Thu, 01/05/2012 - 14:59.A picture book by pale
Once upon a time, in a far away land under the light of the moon, a very hungry Caterpillar was hatched.
On Monday it ate through 35 acquisitions......
And a Hippo Gnu Deer.....Submitted by pale on Mon, 12/26/2011 - 16:20.
So it was here finally. Hope everyone has a safe and warm holiday and eats entirely too much. It makes me feel better if it's not just me that has jeans that don't fit for a few days. :)
Just an observation on this consumerist season.....
As usual the gift list was what they need, and then something they wanted. We can only hope that next year is better than this one was. And Spring is coming. OCCUPYeverything. »
A Holiday po-emSubmitted by pale on Thu, 12/22/2011 - 12:55.
T'was near the end of the year,
The Senate was adjourned, pale's sh**...... errrrr git list. 2011Submitted by pale on Wed, 12/21/2011 - 18:13.
Who has been naughty, and who has been nice?
The Harpercon Borg tops my list for Canuck politics. But you knew that.
No one can consume that much scotch. So I'll just put them up there. Ezra Irrelevant. Ethical Oil, his face, the sound of his voice. Nuff said. Corporate Canada. I am sure my overlords are taking note. Now, here at ACR we are def equal opportunity, so there are a couple women I need to call out for their utter stupidity and failure in the areas of truth and decency. Multigenerational git-ness. Merry Lulzxmas.....Submitted by pale on Wed, 12/21/2011 - 10:31.I saw this video, an Xmas greeting of sorts from anonymous. Happy Lulzxmas! »
You reap what you sow.Submitted by pale on Tue, 12/20/2011 - 13:05.And let us face it. The political establishment and the media, and many of the so called "christian" big box organizations have been portraying those who have fallen from "grace" as lazy, dirty and worthless. It makes it possible for them to keep on making the cruelest cuts on the backs of the poor, the mentally ill and children with the complacent approval of the public, who really should know better. Many of us are in fact one cheque off the street. Lost your job and need EI? LAZY. Looking for moral examples set by those who are in "power"? Keep looking. I could post links about this topic all day long. Banana RepublicSubmitted by pale on Mon, 12/19/2011 - 21:55.It just gets more and more ludicrous on a daily fucking basis here in Harperland. Now the Harpercons want Canadians to boycott bananas from Chiquita, because that company has said they don't like dirty oil, and would prefer to source their fuel from other sources.... The Harpercons partners in environmental crimes (and crimes against common sense) the "ethical oil" groups, are paying for ads. Scheer partisanshipSubmitted by pale on Fri, 12/16/2011 - 17:24.
Skullduggery and complete bullshit. And the new speaker, a conservative from Sask says it's reprehensible, but ok. It didn't affect Irwin Cotler's ability to do his job. Scheer said. I say again, what a load of bullshit. So the Cons will keep on doing what they have been doing, pushing the envelope and breaking the spirit of every law they can. Because apparently they can? Creating even more cynicism and distrust with the voters. An article in the Glib and Stale today titled: Be very afraid: Stephen Harper is inventing a new Canada. That fucking pig has been out of the barn for some time now. Nice of someone to notice? *pale rolls her eyes* Laws? That's for you regular folks.Submitted by pale on Thu, 12/15/2011 - 07:54.
Since May 2011, there has been an increase in crime. Mostly in Ottawa. And then goes on a wild crime spree, lying about some supposed "mandate". Which of course would only be true if they had the majority of the voters on their side. They are forcing their ideology with no debate, despite court rulings, and effectively shutting out the voice of 60% of the population. Lying is a bad habit, and the cons do it far more often than anyone else. Of course, "media" even trivializes it.
Typical. Gimme actual instances, asshole. Message to the 10%Submitted by pale on Wed, 12/07/2011 - 15:41.
The familiar refrain, GET A JOB! That sound that emits from the closed minded like a malodorous sulfuric cloud.
I know I know. It's not polite to swear and all, but the reality is most evident, with evidence even!
Here in BC? things are really bad, despite all the ballyhooing the BC Liberals do about how fucking wonderful they are. |
